Evolution is seeking talented Lighting Engineers and Technicians to join our Technical Department in Dubai, UAE. This position will be based at our office in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical concepts, seasoned experience in a Lighting role, experience with lighting systems, networks and consoles, exceptional problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. As a Lighting Engineer / Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing Lighting systems and ensuring flawless lighting experiences for clients and guests at events.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical concepts, seasoned experience in a Lighting role, experience with lighting systems, networks and consoles, exceptional problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. As a Lighting Engineer / Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing Lighting systems and ensuring flawless lighting experiences for clients and guests at events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify and manage lighting components for upcoming events,
- Assist the department with pitches and quotations, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
- Control and maintain Evolution's lighting assets, ensuring their proper function and maintenance.
- Rig and de-rig equipment, ensuring systems are correctly set up for use.
- Program and operate lighting systems, creating the desired lighting for events.
- Collaborate and liaise with third parties and/or other departments involved in event production.
- 2-5 years of experience in a lighting role, preferably working on mid to large-scale events.
- UAE Experience an advantage.
- Experience with at least one lighting console brand (Hog / Avolites / Chamsys / GrandMA) *and / or* Experience with lighting systems and networking protocols: Dimmers, Power management, Artnet / sACN / MA Net
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Autocad, and Vectorworks is desired, although training can be provided.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Valid UAE or home country driving license and access to a car is desired.
- Arabic language advantageous but not essential.
